Some successful joy-con modding. I also replaced the buckle locks while I had them apart and it definitely feels more sturdy when I am playing it undocked. Just goes to show that even with the latest electronics, that we are all told is too complicated for anyone other than the manufacturer to repair, there are still a lot of fixes a home user with the right tools can do.
My god, look at Fatboy Slim's old sequencer
I’m a generalist with 15 years professional experience and engineering/computer science degrees. Full-stack Ruby, ReasonML most recently with a fair bit of Rust on the side.
Looking for a role in Melbourne AU or remote friendly. Would love to work a bit lower down the stack, systems level, embedded, OS, networking for example. Want to work for a business that values quality and correctness, not just deadlines and piling on technical debt.
Pls boost for reach 🙏

"For example, they recently added a hidden empty div over YouTube videos that causes our hardware acceleration fast-path to bail (should now be fixed in Win10 Oct update). Prior to that, our fairly state-of-the-art video acceleration put us well ahead of Chrome on video playback time on battery, but almost the instant they broke things on YouTube, they started advertising Chrome's dominance over Edge on video-watching battery life."

"You've got another suitor?"
"They're just visiting."
"You get a lot of... visitors."
"You're getting a lot, is all I'm saying."
"I'm sure you could too, if-"
"You are maybe not as welcoming as-"
"Hmpf! I won't change," said Venus.
"Of course not," said Mars.

Canonical extends Ubuntu Linux 18.04 LTS support to 10 years!
These news elevate Ubuntu to even more enterprise-friendly Linux distribution. LTS= Long Term Support.
Businesses care about stability; the latest and greatest features not so much.
They care about once something is set up and working that it keeps working for as long as possible.
Smart, Canonical, now that Winblows 10 just keeps destroying itself.
For my followers' listening pleasure, here's a playlist I knocked up on YouTube that perfectly conveys my feelings about how well #Brexit's going.
So, the big question with Brexit is will may sacrifice the union and bribe the SNP into getting on board with the promise of Indyref2? If she can get some Labour support as well it might just work.
